Player’s Profile:

A former MVP when he led the Batangas Blades to MBA championship Laure never had the same success with Shell and later with Purefoods because of nagging injuries.

He was dropped to the free agent pool where the Aces picked him up during the 2006-07 season. Fully recovered from injuries he played 24 games and shone particularly on the defensive end. He was rewarded by the Alaska Aces with a two-year contract.

Coach Tim Cone sees Laure as a Rey Evangelista play alike. The long-limbed former Adamson University Falcon is the team’s designated defensive stopper and can score on occasion when needed. He can post up, put the ball on the floor and slash to the basket or hit the open jumper from as far as three-point distance.
