The team’s skipper remains the Alaska Aces’ heart and soul providing the team with his leadership and all-around value. Assistant coach Jojo Lastimosa named him as the player who has taken on the role of the teams leader not only on the court but also off the court.
Cariaso is a key figure in the team’s mission to end its long title drought and his leadership and experience will be crucial in providing stability to the young Alaska squad. His point production may take a dip as the year goes by but his 100 percent effort in every game never wanes.
He remains the team’s best perimeter defender and one of the go-to guys on offense especially at crunch time.
