Joachim Thoss

The 6′7 young center debunked the so-called ’sophomore jinx’ with another decent 2005-06 season in his second year with the Aces. A member of the All-Rookie Team by the PBA Press Corps two year ago, Thoss appeared in all 49 games and started 28 times where he averaged 5.7 points and 5.4 rebounds in just 21 minutes per game exposure.

Though his numbers were a little bit down compared to his rookie year, the Papua New Guinea-born cager held his own against the best centers in the league and be one of the fiercest defenders inside the shaded lane. The only lacking in his game is a consistent perimeter game that will make him more productive in the triangle and more dangerous in the league.
