His pre-season heroics could be a preview that ‘The Thriller’ is dead-serious in reclaiming the tag of being one of the elite players in the league. A mid-season recruit by the Aces in a trade with Talk N Text, the 5′11 Miller struggled from the start in his third team in the pro but settled down towards the end of the Philippine Cup as he slowly gained his confidence back.
The 2002 Most Valuable Player averaged 12.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists last year, playing a dual role for coach Tim Cone as a backup point of Mike Cortez or a chief reliever of Jeffrey Cariaso at the shooting guard position.
